A Flagship Design

In the beautiful West Kootenays we are embarking on a transformative journey with the renovation of our Castlegar location, a project born out of both necessity and ambition. Our building, a longstanding pillar in the community and a part of a well used strip mall we proudly own, has long awaited a refresh. While addressing essential structural improvements throughout the entire building, we seize this as a golden opportunity to go beyond mere maintenance. Our aim is to create something that is truly "StellerVista" - something that not only serves our immediate needs but also sets a benchmark for future endeavors. This renovation, meticulously planned and thoughtfully designed, marks a significant investment in our infrastructure and our commitment to providing unparalleled service. At a cost of under $1,000,000, this project aligns with current construction market rates and reflects our dedication to fiscal responsibility and strategic planning.

As we navigate this extensive renovation, set to commence at the end of April and conclude in Q3, our priority remains the uninterrupted service to our members. The scope of work encompasses a comprehensive exterior makeover, laying the groundwork for subsequent interior enhancements. Despite the scale of this undertaking, we anticipate minimal disruption to our branch operations, ensuring our members retain full access to service. Should any unforeseen interruptions arise, we pledge to communicate promptly and transparently, minimizing any impact on our valued members.

The local contractor Horvath Contracting and Design LTD. emerged as our chosen partner for this project after a competitive bidding process that welcomed all qualified firms. Their proposal stood out for its exceptional commitment to safety, quality, and value, affirming our decision to support a local business that aligns with our high standards. This collaboration not only underscores our dedication to community growth but also marks a strategic step in strengthening our physical presence within the community. Looking ahead, our vision remains focused on enhancing Stellervista's role as a premier rural banking institution. The innovative design of this flagship location, which will inspire features in our other branches, signals our commitment to excellence and the importance of in-person service. Through this significant investment, we aim to better serve our members and elevate our presence in the Castlegar community, reflecting our confidence in its potential and our integral role within it.
